Ole Communications and Time Warner founded HBO Ole Partners and launched HBO Ole in 1991, the first HBO premium channel of Latin America. The joint venture grew into what is today known as the HBO Latin America Group (HBO LAG) which produces the complete package of premium HD networks of HBO, MAX, and Cinemax in Spanish for Spanish-speaking Latin America and in Portuguese for Brazil. Additionally, HBO LAG offers their award-winning programming on-demand to all authenticated subscribers via their family of websites and its dedicated HBO GO app throughout Hispanic Latin America and Brazil.

HBO LAG is the exclusive distributor in Latin America and Brazil for Warner Channel, Sony Networks (Sony and AXN), and the A+E Networks Latin America family of channels. The group also handles the distribution of NBCUniversal Networks International’s E! Entertainment, Studio Universal, SyFy, Telemundo Internacional, and Universal Channel in Spanish speaking Latin America, with distribution of Telemundo Internacional excluding Mexico and E! Entertainment including Brazil.
